Slam Frank will return Off-Broadway later this season.

The musical will open at the Orpheum Theatre October 4. The show will once again be directed by Sam LaFrage.

Written by Andrew Fox and Joel Sinensky, Slam Frank reimagines the story of Holocaust victim and diarist Anne Frank through, press notes state, an "intersectional, multiethnic, genderqueer, Afro-latin hip-hop lens."

The work—which follows a performatively progressive community theatre trying to decolonize Frank's diary, was inspired by a viral thread on Twitter asking the incendiary question, "Did Anne Frank ever acknowledge her white privilege?"
