Deadline: Provocative ‘Slam Frank’ Musical Sets Fall Off-Broadway Production

Slam Frank, the critically acclaimed and provocative new musical that reimagines Anne Frank’s story “through an intersectional, multiethnic, genderqueer, Afro-Latin hip-hop lens,” will begin a limited engagement Off Broadway this September.

Previews begin at the Orpheum Theatre on September 17, exactly one year after the start of the developmental run that brought attention and praise to the musical conceived, composed and co-written by Andrew Fox with Joel Sinensky, and continue through November 30. Official opening night is October 4.

The musical, directed by Sam LaFrage, played to sold out houses during its developmental presentation at Asylum NYC.
